oooh these are pretty easy questions, im waiting for the juicy stuff, haha

1. My studies are going really well, i was quite lazy before but now i've decided to put my head down and my tail up and actually go to the library, study hard.... Im currently doing a double degree in Foreign languages and Business, I have 3 majors - Chinese, Korean and Financial Markets.   :D

2. Yes, I've been to quite a few foreign countries... I lived in Beijing, China for one year, and also lived in Seoul, South Korea for another year... those two years were studying the languages there - attending universities. My mother is italian and my father is swedish, so i have been to both my 'heritage lands' for travel... and other places i have visited are: denmark, france, germany, austria, england, netherlands, switzerland, USA (only LA) and Malaysia.

3. Ummm what dont i like about my surroundings? do u mean as in in australia, my life?  ??? or my close surroundings as in who i share my house wif? i'll take that to mean the second of those... I do like australia, i think its a great place to live in... at the moment im living with two friends, they are pretty messy... thats one think i dont like about living with them, but they are very cool people and can often give me different perspectives on life.

4. After i graduate college, i plan on doing a lot of backpacking...maybe for 6-8 months, i really wanna travel from south east asia all the way across through russia and into europe... that would be really awesome, i have to save  a lot of money and do a lot of research... i wont graduate until the end of 2006 so I still have a lot of time to gather resources. After that, my plan is to work in a multinational company dealing in foreign exchange or investment banking - anyone wanna hire me? haha  ;D

5. My greatest dream... wow , i think its really tough, you know ,i didnt really think about it so much.. i guess, i just want to live a life where i can broaden myself to as many experiences as possible, im not afraid to do anything... i know it sounds pretty vague, but thats my aim in life, to try as many things as possible... i think i've done ok so far, i've travelled to everest base camp (chinese side), i've eaten many many 'weird' foods, travelled to many places etc... but the world has so much to offer, theres still so much to do...so maybe i cant ever realise my dream because there are no bounds. :P

hehhe ok im gonna ask u a few questions on urs after i answer these... hah ;D

1. My sleeping habits - I normally exercise a lot in the evening, either soccer or weights, so I usually feel pretty pumped and have trouble sleeping straight away... a good book or some of my uni text readings will usually put me to bed pretty easily... i normally sleep around 1 or 2 AM and then get up at about 9 or 10...
Im told that i lie very still when i sleep, i have a huge bed and if im alone then i'll be pretty much dead center lying on one of my sides...and no, i dont wear PJs, normally just underwear and if its really cold, an old tshirt~~ :-/

2. I think im a bit of both, i dont think its as black and white as many people assume, it depends on what kind of issue we're talking about i guess~~~

3. I think that marrying across cultural barriers is fine, it depends on the people involved... if they are understanding towards each other's cultures and respect the differences between them, then it should be fine... just some people are very "rigid" and dont like things they perceive as "different" - this is when problems occurr. I have been brought up differently to a lot of people, my father is swedish, my mother italian and i have lived in asia for a number of years - my parents have stressed the importance of understanding foreign cultures and have always embraced the foreign girlfriends i have had in the past, they are very supportive and their attitude has carried down to me. I think i am very understanding and respectful of other cultures.  :D

4. No, im not dating anyone online - i dont know how to do that? .. i've never done it before.

5. What turns me on? hmm i guess a girl who challenges me. I like a woman who can make me try new things, show me something new - that makes it exciting for me, i'm not a huge fan of routine and i hope that my partner would also be one who wants to get out and explore different avenues with me. I should also add that looks are important too - theyre not the most important thing, but we would be rather naive to say theyre not important at all~~

Turn offs for me are... women who play hard to get and play games - i've never understood that, if a woman likes me, i would hope she would show me through body language, speech or whatever, rather than pretending not to like me ... if i like her and she acts as if she's not interested in me, then i'll quickly move on - i guess thats some kind of self-defence mechanism so i dont like her too much and get hurt~~  ???

But, these things are large generalisations, i like to think that i judge and see people differently, from person to person, i dont categorize ppl.  ;)

6. A good date? usually a nice restaurant, a bottle of wine, good food... i really love japanese food and i think its a great aphrodisiac, haha  ;D
but once again, that really depends on the person, i've dated very different sorts of people... recently i was dating a lawyer, she was very direct and would often come up with interesting places to go to~~
i dont think i've ever taken a girl on a date to the same place as another girl... if u know what i mean, i dont want to have the same experience twice~~ hehe i dont really know what to say to be honest~  [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif]

Im not sure if you also go to chatrooms coz I only see you here. But what I mean by online dating is you meet someone on the net. You get to like her, then you starts talking to her in private on a regular basis. You know, getting to know each other on a personal level?

oooh i see what u mean kinda, well not really, i mean i chat to some people on MSN messenger and stuff, but i dont really date them and theres no formal relationship or anything... so i guess u couldnt really call it online dating as such~~ :o

1. My short term plan... study hard! get a good mark this semester at university... after that, save money and travel hard for around six months to a year...

2. My long term plans... get a good job within the finance sector, work for around 10 years building experience, contacts and knowledge, skills... then hopefully set up my own business, i would love to run my own business. I also have long term plans to work overseas for five years or so, preferably in Asia... Korea or China are easiest because i speak both those languages. Also... one of my long term goals is to travel and taste all continents of the world.

3. Its hard to pick just one favourite actor and actress, so how about I name three for each? hehe  ;D

1. I chose to study in Australia only because I live here, i think the  universities here are quite good...but its also expensive to study overseas full time, especially in countries like USA.

2. Yes, i study business - primarily studying Finance. I am interested in stock and derivative markets - the way the markets interact with the economy as a whole is very interesting and its something which i think i could be good at in the future for a job.   :D

3. Yes i do like studying languages, but i dont think its because of asian girls or anything... I've also studied Japanese, French and im doing Italian - i am just interested  in foreign languages and it was always something that wasnt as difficult for me as for other students.

4. Yes i do want to work in Asia... i think china and korea are best for me, because i've already lived there and i know i would be comfortable, with other places, im not so sure... i dont know if i could live there for five years... i've been to malaysia, i enjoyed it  ;D ... but 1 year there? im not sure... with beijing and seoul, i know i can do it, i've doneit before.

5. I dont have a preference for girls.. I have had two asian girlfriends before... I've had european girlfriends, one african girlfriend and a colombian girlfriend... I think every race of girl can be attractive and i dont try and find a chinese girl, i dont try and find a spanish girl... i just try to find a girl who i like  ::)

6. i try to find a girl who's trying to try new things... but generally its based on my impression of her, how comfortable i feel with her... whether she can make my heart beat faster... its pretty hard to generalize, i find each girl is so different and the girls i have liked have been so different, how could i explain my ideal type?

No, im not actually christian... my parents liked this name... because my father is swedish and its a common name in Sweden... its also a name common in italy, where my mum is from... and my parents both admired Christian Baarnard (i dunno if thats his name) who performed the first successful open-heart surgery... or something like that. I'm not religious at all.

10. I liked sport the most...haha i think every guy likes sport!!

11. Hmm... when i finished high school, i went to beijing to study chinese mandarin for a year... i went with 7 other australians on a scholarship program to a specified university. One of the others who went to China with me introduced me to a Chinese girl... my friend and this chinese girl were learning chinese and english from one another. This girl and i formed a relationship, unfortunately i was only 18... and very naive, she was 26. I was unaware that she was already arranged to be married to a guy in her hometown, back in Shandong province - a while away from the capital. We had a relationship for about 2 months, it was very intense...then one day, she was gone... i later found out that she was engaged from her flatmates, i was very sad... i guess its my first love  :) :)

12. Yes, i believe in marriage, but.... then again, if you really love someone, do you really have to marry them? i mean, some people want to be married just because it feels secure... but if you love someone a lot, you dont need to formalize it haha  ;D
if i loved a girl and she loved me and she wanted to get married, then i'd do it~~ for her, but not really for me, because i know in my heart that sharing the same surname and wearing a ring doesnt really mean much~ its the feeling inside isnt it?

1. Definitely a woman's face... because i have to look at that all the time, i would prefer a girl with a beautiful face rather than a beautiful body~

2. I'm satisfied with my body in total honesty... the only area i dont like about myself is my face, i try to avoid mirrors throughout the day. I dont know why this is, just a feeling, i dont like it.

1. on my computer... well i do a lot of homework, studying, writing assignments for uni... also i do a lot of internet chatting with friends who are overseas, those that i studied with before... and sometimes i just have fun, play games etc.

2. my strengths and weaknesses... i guess my strengths are that im adventurous, this is also my weakness, it gets me into all sorts of trouble, trying new things etc. ~ 8)

3. i dont believe in mistakes... i dont really view the world that way to be honest... if you do something and the result isnt how u wished it would be, it wasn't a mistake, its just fortune and you can learn from that   :P

4. My favourite foods.....are risotto (from italy) and kimchi (from korea)

5. I havent thought about children at all, i'm only just twenty four, im still studying, i dont have a full time job-  its not something i have really given thought to, maybe  you can ask me this question again in 3 years or so.  ;D

6. Umm, i am very faithful i think.. and, no i dont set any limitations on girlfriends... i mean, if i want to be with her, how could i limit her freedom? you have to trust someone to like them, if you dont trust them then you dont really love or like them enough... it wont work, i believe in committment and trust...  :D

7. I feel confident in all aspects of my life, im content, im happy to be who i am, im happy with the gifts my parents have provided me with ~~ :)

8. i dont have any ideal partner, i will only know my ideal partner when i meet her, i will know according to my feeling... its impossible to foresee who that person will be like, you may be totally wrong...  ;D

9. Hhaha i thought it was very interesting, but at that time i was very confused about this message board, i didnt really understand it... i was thinking "how could these people know who each other are??" but now i feel happy to be introduced to this place~~  ;)

10. haha i dont know... i mean, i didnt meet any of them face to face, so i dont know how i could feel about a serious relationship with them... i have to see them, interact with them, then one can know if he or she likes someone.... i think  :)

Hahaha no, i think the world would be different.. but not necessarily better, i think you cannot generalize about women and say they do more good than men, vice versa... both women and men have good qualities... but all people have good qualities, just because one person is a man and one person is a woman, it does not mean either will be better at anything, it depends on their individual makeup... not their gender~~  ;D

I dont mind about a girl's height... because a tall girl could be very elegant, that is beautiful... a short girl can be cute... and sexy... i think the height doesnt matter so much... but if she is like 190cm or... 110cm... then maybe its not so good for me~~ i mean, i think it doesnt matter if she is below or above average...  ;D
