Did you all of a sudden become a fan of a certain team because your mate loves that team? Why does that happen?

For example, I all of a sudden became a SPURS fan when i started dating West. Why? I don't really know...i just know i wanted to cheer for the same team as my man :p

darn west is really a lucky man then wendy ;D

nope...one of the biggest reason why i annoyed my man was because we both have different team....

somehow made him annoyed big time....cause if i say that ur team is going to loose....well it will loose....lol....

i find it more challenging when we bet on whos going to win my team or his team ;D

I think its normal and actually polite to get interested in the things that your mate is interested in... IT works both ways. LIke if i am interested in jogging i would appreciate it if my partner would get interested in in too. If its not to much of a bother i think tis ok to get interested in the same things right?

It is normal kimmy. This way you and your mate can do some things together. There will be other things that you enjoy doing but your mate does not. It also shows that your mate is interested in you and what you do and shows that they care enough about you to try out whatever it is you enjoy doing.

Besides, it brings the relationship to another level. You can do something and enjoy each other's company.

But I would want my mate to be honest if she didn't like doing something I did. Because then she'll have a bad time and I would notice that and feel bad that she is having a bad time.

Ya i know what you mean son. Like he'd pretend that he likes oprah when he really doesn't just to please me ;D I dont pretend that i like soething that i dont like. I'm actually a very frank person. But i also dont make a big fuzz about the things that he likes that i dont like too. Its just a matter of respect. I respect the things he like n he should respect mine too. ;)

If u like them only because your mate likes them thats what u call a bandwagon fan, because that person just jumps on the bandwagon. Bandwagon fans are no good cuz if the mate changes his favorite team(which makes him a bandwagon fan as well) that person will have to change also. Bandwagon fans are no good for sports. Im a huge oklahoma sooner fan. I have been for all my life. My father and his father were fans as well. My daughter and her mother are Sooner fans. We will always stay true regardess of what happens. Lots of sooner fans are obnoxious and rude and some of the biggest rednecks in the world. I understand that, but I love them just the same. They are loyal and true to thier favorite team. You have to admire that kind of loyality.

I'm a leader not a follower. I like what I like and I dont care if my partner doesnt like what I like. I'd say to him this is the point where we differ so take a hike!
