Title: Re: SCARY travelling experience Post by keensryche on Feb 22nd, 2004, 1:08pm I moved from Ohio to Dallas, TX 11 years ago with $1000 and season tickets to the Cowboys games. I didn't know anyone, didn't have a job or a place to live. I was homeless for 3 days. How I did it, I don't know, but God sure has blessed me ever since. |

Title: Re: SCARY travelling experience Post by ReeBop on Feb 22nd, 2004, 2:37pm Well, you are blessed now that you have a proper stereo system now, keen... :D My scarey experience was blowing the motor in my Yugo in rural Illinois. It was so rural that there were only 3 teeth in the entire town. I slept in a restuarant doorway over night while teens in hotrods and the Illinois State Police kept coming around. There was no motel around...only a Dairy Queen. There was a payphone to call up to Michigan for help which arrived the late the next morning and it all worked out. Now, I have Motor Club..... ;) |

Title: Re: SCARY travelling experience Post by ReeBop on Feb 22nd, 2004, 2:44pm I had another experience in Illinois....not far from the first one. I had a belt snap on the expressway 10 miles from any town. I had tools, but the extra belt I had wouldn't fit. There was a thunderstorm on the horizon with semi trucks screaming by at 70 miles an hour. A truck stopped with Texas plates and asked if he could help give me a lift to the next town. He said that he saw my Texas plates and just had to help. We stopped at a Autozone (there's a shock having that in a small town), and I bought a spare set of tools and the new belt. I got it changed and was back on the road. Lucky for me though, it was getting dark and 30 minutes later up the road, I hit a torrential downpour from a summer storm. |

Title: Re: SCARY travelling experience Post by mylane on Feb 26th, 2004, 8:00pm my scary travelling experience...I was 16 or 17 during that time. That my grandma in Cebu called up and said there is an emergency so my mother decided to take me with her to be in Cebu. We took a plane the only problem is we both have different seats. I was with an american guy. I dunno if he is british or american was the difference anyway. Maybe if i asked him if he is cut or not then i can tell the nationality...lol ;D On our way to cebu. I brought my Aunt some plants stems and put in the plastic and then when some officials do the inspection they been questioning the plants...lol....i was scared cause of that. And one thing is the Japanese woman keep looking at me cause she caught me looking to her Jap man....lol...i was a fan of shaider and mask rider black before so i keep looking on the jap guy beside he is cute ;D mostly the scary part was when they question the plants. And i lost my mom cause we both have different seats ;D |

Title: Re: SCARY Travelling Experience Post by thebeast on Jun 29th, 2005, 10:13pm On my trip back from NYC in April, I was boarding the flight back to DFW. There was a cute young lady with a huge suitcase, that she had no business carrying around and using it as a carry on to put in the overhead capartment. Well I could see she was struggling with the suitcase and being the fine upstanding gentleman that I am, I offered to carry it for her. She accepted without hesatation. She was so red in the face from carrying the luggage around, I couldnt help but to laugh a little. So then we get to where she is sitting...she is sitting right next to me as it turns out. So I start to put this enormous peice of luggage into the overhead capartment. Well it wont fit. I try to push the bag in for about 30 seconds....still no luck. So the flight attendant yells at me real sarcastically ..."YOU NEED TO TAKE SOME ITEMS OUT OF YOUR LUGGAGE SO IT WILL FIT.. YOU SHOULD OF CHECKED IT IN..INSTEAD OF BRINGING IT ON. Well I looked at the flight attendant and I wished I would of had my gun, cause I wanted to shoot her right there. Hell this wasnt even my luggage. So I bring this ladys luggage back down and I look at her and she looks at me. By this time there is a long line of people waiting to get into thier seats behind me. I can hear the whispers and grumbling. So I say to the her. I think you need to take some stuff out so it will fit. And then she does this and I lift the bag above my head again and give it a big hit with both my fist and it goes inside finally. Then we both sit down and let the other passengers by. She then tells me thank you and I say no problem. We had a long talk back to Texas. She gave me her number and asked me to call her sometime and she will buy me a drink due to the embarrasement she caused me. Well I never did call her and I lost her number anyway....So this is a lesson..It does still sometimes payoff to be a gentleman but be careful cuz even though you may get a pretty ladies phone number you may get a little grief as well. ;D |

Title: Re: SCARY Travelling Experience Post by NorKay on Sep 6th, 2005, 8:07am Not really scary but it was to me.I remember when I and my ex-BF went to Thailand, together with other friends. That was the last travel we had before our break up.*sigh*.It was timely that they were having festival.Near the beach, there was a street they called "crazy street" ( I don't know if that's really the name of the street or they just called it "crazy street" because people in that street were really crazy, and it's really scary. We looked like ignorant people there with my ex-BF watching what was going on and didn't figure out anything.LOL.We saw people with huge water tubes (term? LOL) and pointing them to every people who passed in the street.Whoever you are, whatever you're wearing. To our curiousity,my ex BF suggested us to go and let us see if they gonna do it to us.LOL.I was so angry, because I couldn't say no.He kept going and I couldn't shout "no" to him but to follow. He was holding me and I was staring at the men holding tubes saying "keep busy to that direction" as he was facing the other side of the street. As we crossed the street to the store,I was like, ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! .The water was tooo strong that I was slipped.Good thing I was wearing short because we just came from the beach.Even cars ,they did that.'Til now,I have no idea and not getting cleared about the real story of that "crazy street". Here are some pics. Two years ago. :P http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kriswen/Thailand06.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kriswen/bf47.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kriswen/56a3.jpg Hehe. That's me with red short. That's my ex BF Bobby Gray with military cargo half pant. :P |
