Title: NFL 2005
Post by Need4Speed8DaleJr on Oct 22nd, 2005, 10:00am

Ok Gang,

The NFL season is a third over, so let's not waste anymore time.

What teams do you think are "Contenders" and what teams do you think are "Pretenders"? Which Teams have Surprised you so far this Year, and Which ones have Been Disappointing?

What Players do you think have already impressed you enough to be considered for MVP? What Coach Needs to be Fired, and what Player is out Injured?

Post Away Gang!

Well I know the New England Patriots super bowl days are over. The NFC east is up for grabs, but I will take a risk and pick my cowboys. NFC north is the same so I pick chicago bears. NFC south I pick Tamba Bay. NFC west I will pick Seatle. AFC east I pick New England. AFC north I pick Pittsburg but Cincinnati is playing awful good. AFC south I pick Indianapolis and I also pick them to win the super bowl. AFC west I pick Denver.

Super Sunday will be the Idianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys and Indaina will win easily.

Peyton Manning is the best QB in the league in my opinion. Best player overall to me is LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Deigo Chargers. Best Defensive Player My boy and former sooner Roy Williams of the Dallas Cowboys. I not open a link for my sooners since we not doing so hot this year. But we just rebuilding this year and be back in the national championship hunt next year.

The Colts just KILLED the Pats on MNF!

Total Destruction is an Understatement. lol.

Those Colts Look Pretty Good right now, but they are also Healthy. If they lose a few key players to injuries they might not look like a sure thing anymore.

Like I said dale...patriots super bowl days are over..AFC has the best teams this year. Indianapolis, Pittsburg, and Denver are really playing well. And I am so glad Philly got rid of Terrell Owens. I cant stand that cry baby. He such a whiner. He no team player and his big mouth finally got him screwed. He gonna lose a lot of money. If his grandmother, which he always talks about, was alive today she would jack slap him and call him an idiot. I heard on Inside the NFL that Dallas would be interested in TO....God I hope not. I not want him to play for Dallas... I not care how good he is. I would rather lose.

I like Terrell Owens, he just hired a Jackass of an Agent. Drew Rosenhause is behind most of this crap. lol.

Sure T.O. is a show-off...and sure sometimes he says stuff that deserves a good slap...but he is one of the 3 Elite wide receivers in the NFL along with Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison. This all started back last year when T.O. was hurt and he risked his Career to play injured in the Super Bowl. He wasn't 100% and he gave it his all for the team, and I am sure that the Management of the Eagles privately made some kind of verbal promise to give him more money if he played hurt. I also think that when the Eagles didn't win they backed out of their promise and T.O. feels pissed that the Eagles didn't reward him for the risk he took. If he was injured further and had to retire, then the Eagles would never pay him a dime again, in the NFL there is no Guarenteed contracts,

On the NFL Pre-Game show on FOX a week or so ago they said that Owens was one of the few wide receivers in the NFL to never take a play off, and if he needs to "go over the middle" to make a catch and get a first down (and risk getting "Jacked-Up") that he would do it without thought for his own health. They also went on to say that if T.O. had a new agent..or his old one back, that all this could of been avoided.

Personally I HATED Owens when he played for the 49ers and did that Pose at Mid-Field after catching a TD against the Cowboys. OHH...that was stupid. But as the years went on I started to like Owens for both his creative stunts post Touchdown..and for his pure football skills.

On your fears that Dallas would want him...dang as a Cowboy fan myself...I WOULD LOVE TO SEE OWENS IN A COWBOY UNIFORM. Dang...that would be awesome! I think that they could get rid of K.J. and sign Ownes. Parcels would keep him in line and I know that Jerry Jones would spend ANY amount of $ to keep Washington from getting him. But I can understand your fear of him being a Cowboy. lol

Ohhhhhhh...Did the Cowboys Pull one Outta the Hat on MNF!!!??  LMAO   ;D

I watched the Dallas Cowboys play the Eagels on Monday Night Football last night...And for 50some minutes the Cowboys did almost NOTHING but watch the Eagles. They barely could get a first down...and on Defense they seemed lazy and lacked energy. I cursed that TV more times than I could count! Throw the Ball DOWN the Field! lol. Bledsoe was throwing passes in front of the first down line and almost every time the Eagles Defense was waiting for them, and would deny them, and force a 3-and-out. Ugghhh...I knew they were doubling the WR'ers on the outside, but they rarely used the Tight End or the Running Back out in the flat or a small dump off pass over the middle. UGGHHH...It looked soooo easy. The Cowboys running game was for the most part going no-where, and they needed to take what the Eagles Defense was giving them...and that was small passes over the middle, but they kept on trying to run the ball. Who am I to call Parcels Stuborn? lmao.

With 5 Minutes to go in the 4th Q...I was about to pull the plug and go watch Sportscenter. I am Sooooo Glad I didn't. When the Cowboys scored and went ahead by one point...lol I was thinking that Dumb-Azz Kicker Cortez (who recently was FIRED from the Cowboys..and picked up by the Eagles), Would come back to haunt the Cowboys in the last few seconds. When the Eagles had to complete a 60something yard field goal...I was thinking that stranger things have happened, and I seriously was doubting the Cowboys would win.

Ahhh...But they Pulled one Outta the Hat Ehh. I could only think back to the 4th Quarter collapse when the Cowboys lost to the Redskins in a very simillar fashion, Geesssh...Karma Is SUCH a Bitch Ehh.  LMAO   ;D

Wow big turn of events. On this past Sunday all the teams that had home field advantage lost. Indy and Chicago. On Saturday the teams that played at home won. Seatle and Denver. So now Pittsburg who defeated Indy will play Denver at Denver. I pick Denver. Carolina who beat Chicago will play Seattle at Seattle. I gotta pick the home team Seatle to win. So for me its gonna be Denver and Seattle in the super bowl. And Denver Broncos will win the super bowl.

Well I was half right. Gonna be Pittsburg and Seattle in the Super bowl. Everyone picking Pittsburg just because they have won all thier games in the playoffs on the road. I admit Pittsburg looks very good...but I gonna go against the odds and pick Seattle. I think they are underated as a team because they played in a weak conference. Hell I picked Denver at home and they never get beat at home and they did get beat with ease at home. No home field advantage for the super bowl though.
