Title: NBA 2005-06 Post by Need4Speed8DaleJr on Nov 13th, 2005, 2:46am OK Gang... By Popular Demand, once again I will start an NBA thread to see just which member has the "Secret Power" to guess correctly who will be Crowned NBA Champion! lol This thread will also be used to discuss all NBA Games and Players throughout the Season. If you don't see the Team you think will be crowned champion in the above Poll, (Sorry only room for 10 choices) then post your team here. Post Away Gang! ;D |

Title: Re: NBA 2005-06 Post by ReeBop on May 23rd, 2006, 8:45pm I am a Pistons and Mavericks fan and I think this could be the Mavericks year. Their defense, scoring from inside and outside the paint and fast pace could wear out the Pistons and their somewhat shaky bench. As for the Suns, they are missing a key piece of their puzzle and the Clippers series showed everyone they have a bit of a problem in the paint. |

Title: Re: NBA 2005-06 Post by thebeast on Jun 3rd, 2006, 2:04am I think the Mavs will win the west. The suns are good when they run but they lack any real defense. All mavs gotta do is keep them under 100 points and they will win...but thats not easy to do when you are not scoring either. Anyway mavs are up 3 games to 2 and now back to phoenix. I imagine this will go all 7 games with the mavs winning game 7 at home. The east?...I dont know whats wrong with Detroit...they are having internal problems and bickering a lot plus they are not scoring as a team very well. They still have a chance but they gotta win the rest of the way out with game 6 in Miami. Its gonna be real hard to win there. I dont think the mavs can beat either Miami or Detroit in a 7 game series...they just not physical enough. Anyway I pick Miami and Dallas in the finals and Miami wins the best of 7. This playoffs has been very good...lots of close games and 7 game series are wonderful. |

Title: Re: NBA 2005-06 Post by ReeBop on Jun 10th, 2006, 7:38am Really, there is no thinking to be done after watching the first game. I thought in the beginning it would be 5 games, and if the Heat played their tempo, won the rebounding game and still lost by 10, they must feel like crap. Walker is a shooting disaster at times...just look at how many 3's he tossed up. Nobody could really get the ball into Shaq because Dampier was on him like a cheap suit. The Mavericks didn't really get into their type of offense, Dirk was off due to some poor shooting and interesting switching defense on the part of Miami and yet they found a way to win and win convincingly. Jet Terry's shot was dead on and the team rode him to the victory in Game 1. The thing about the Mavericks is that if Dirk is off again, someone else could step right up and carry the team. They are that deep. And as deep as they are, they are very young. Usually deep bench teams have solid veterans at the end of their careers. Not the Mavericks. They are still quite young with all that talent that sits on the bench. When is the last time you saw a playoff team go 10 deep on the bench with little loss in team strength? |
